aptain Abbas Ali was born on 3 January
1920 in a Muslim-Rajput family in Khurja,
CBulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. He
belonged to a family of freedom fighters and his
grandfather Rustam Ali Khan was hanged after
the first freedom struggle in 1857 in Bulandshahr,
Uttar Pradesh. Abbas Ali was just 11 years
old when the British hanged Shaheed-e-Azam
Bhagat Singh on 23 March 1931. Despite this, he
