OF LIBERTY WITH A PEN

Many fighters have sacrificed themselves in the spirit of freedom for India. While
someone went to the gallows with the torch of revolution, someone else continued
to lay the groundwork for the freedom fighters to rise up against British rule through
the economic and social development of the villagers. There were also literary
and journalistic heroes who fueled the spirit of liberty. Whether it is the story of
Anant Laxman Kanhere, who shot a Nashik collector and was hanged at a young

age, or the stories of revolutionary fighters Ujjwala Majumdar, Manibhai Desai, or
Madhavrao Sapre, the stories of such heroes who instilled an unprecedented spirit
of patriotism have been included this time in the Amrit Mahotsav series.
