Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj defeated
the Bijapur army in the Battle of
Pratapgad in 1659 and ended the
threat posed by Afzal Khan. Raigad
Here Chhatrapati Shivaji was
coronated in 1674, served as the
first capital of his empire.

Lohagad Suvarnadurg

Chhatrapati Shivaji In 1669, Chhatrapati
Maharaj conquered Shivaji strengthened Gingee Fort of Tamil Nadu

Khanderi Panhala
