CABINET DECISION
UREA TO BE PRODUCED USING NEW
TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN INDIA
In a bid to boost technological advancement in the country, the Cabinet Committee has
given its approval for production of Urea through an innovative process. The production
of Urea through coal gasification route is a step towards AatmaNirbhar Bharat and will
script a new story in the field of energy security and urea self-sufficiency of the country.
Apart from this the Cabinet also gave approval for Bangalore Metro Rail Project and
amendments to the Finance Bill...
n DECISION: Approval to Bangalore Metro Rail
Project Phase 2A, which will streamline the
urban transportation system in Bengaluru, which
is stressed due to intensive developments,
increase in the number of private vehicles and
heavy construction in the city.
n BENEFITS: Phase 2A will connect Central Silk
Board Junction to K.R. Puram and Phase 2B
will connect K.R. Puram to Airport via Hebbal
Junction.
n Total length of the project is 58.19 km.
The total completion cost of the project is
Rs 14,788 Crore.
n Implementation of the project will provide
the much needed additional public transport
infrastructure to Bangalore.
