                                                          NATIONAL EMBLEM ASHOKA PILLAR UNVEILED
                                                          ON THE ROOF OF THE NEW PARLIAMENT HOUSE

                                                           ndia is the world's largest democracy, and Parliament
                                                         Iis its temple. The outline of the new Parliament House
                                                          and Central Vista Project was laid out by Prime Minister
                                                          Narendra Modi. Its construction began as a reflection of
                                                          the fundamental thinking of a new and self-reliant India.
                                                          On July 11, PM Narendra Modi unveiled the Ashoka Pillar,
                                                          India's national emblem, which has been installed at the
                                                          top of this new building. This national symbol is made of
                                                          bronze and measures 21 feet tall, 9500 kg in weight, and
                                                          3.3 to 4.3 metres in diameter. While the hopes of a new
                                                          India will be realised by the new Parliament House, this
                                                          national icon will continue to motivate us to preserve
                                                          India's unity, integrity, and sovereignty.
