            Sadar Namaskar,

In some ways, our collective destiny is intertwined with India's. Public participation cannot
be limited to voting; it can become a powerful medium for realising all of the nation's hopes and
dreams. Despite facing numerous challenges during the difficult period of the COVID pandemic,
the nation pledged "Aatma Nirbhar Bharat" with this thought. The country demonstrated great
fortitude. When we are steadfast in our determination to achieve the set goal with will power
and strength, it is India's collective strength that pulls the country out of trouble. This is also
one of the most remarkable lessons from our struggle for independence. In this regard, the
poem by Sohan Lal Dwivedi mentioned above, emphasises the role of collective strength and
the towering personality of the revered Bapu in our quest for independence.
A strong India is working to carry out the resolution made for the next 25 years. Our journey's
guiding principle is to break free from imperial mentalities and practises. The general budget
was once presented at four o'clock in the evening, as was customary during the colonial era.
However, Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government began presenting it at 11 a.m. The budget is
now presented on February 1 rather than February 28 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's
            leadership.

Its primary objective was to avoid delays in implementing budget promises and provisions.
This step represents the final burying of the ghost of imperial times. In recent years, the
country has achieved the objectives that it set for itself. India is currently preparing a road map
for the country's 100th anniversary of independence. As a result, the second Union Budget
of the new decade of the 21st century will serve as a catalyst in solidifying the foundation of
Aatma Nirbhar Bharat. This time, our cover story examines the budget in depth, as well as its
implications for the Amrit Yatra of the economy.
This edition includes stories about unsung heroes who received Padma Awards and
children who received the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, the story of Chandra Shekhar Azad, Prime
Minister's address at various global forums, startups, and new dimensions of development
in Shri Somnath Temple are also highlights of this issue. Biographies of notable freedom
fighters can be read in the Amrit Mahotsav section. Also included in this issue is a story about
how India is keeping up the rapid pace of vaccination.
