FROM EDITOR’S DESK

              Greetings,

One of the verses in Mahabharata says-

              विशिकर्मा नरस्तेस्तु, विशि्तर् विशि संभिः॥
It means greetings to Vishwakarma, because of whom everything is possible in
the world. He is called Vishwakarma because without his skills the very existence
of society is impossible. Unfortunately, the system of skill development gradually
weakened in our social education system. Understanding its essence, the Prime
Minister has cherished the dream of making India self-reliant since 2014, which has
also become the resolution of every Indian today. The Kaushal Bharat Mission started
under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the youth of the
country efficient and empowered. This mission encouraged job seekers to become
              employers.
As a result, India has been able to cope with a catastrophic pandemic like Covid
better than any other country in the world. Technology is the pedestal on which the
central government is seeking to establish its vision of good governance. The mantra
of skill, re-skill, and up-skill has become a prerequisite in the age of technology and
Kaushal Bharat Mission has been providing new employment opportunities to millions
of youth fulfilling the dream of Babasaheb Ambedkar for the last seven years.
India is changing and India's stature is also increasing globally, at the core of which
is the immense manpower of the country which is adept at turning adversity into
an opportunity. As a result, India is now emerging as a hub for skill development in
the world. On the occasion of the completion of seven years of the Kaushal Bharat
Mission, its complete journey is the cover story of this edition.

Similarly, the progress of GST in the last 5 years, the completion of seven years
of Digital India, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the President's ancestral
village Paraunkh are part of this edition. Other highlights of this issue include- the
inspiring story of Vikram Batra in the personality section, a new system approved by
the Cabinet opening the door for recruitment in the defense sector, Amrit Mahotsav,
the Fight against Covid, the gift of various development schemes by the Prime Minister
              among others.
