FROM EDITOR’S DESK
Greetings,
On the completion of 75 years of independence, grand celebrations were held across the country. From the
customary flag hoisting ceremony at Red Fort to the enthusiastic participation of citizens to unfurl tricolour
in every nook and corner of the country, this wonderful sight was similar to what the country had seen 75
years ago.
The address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the 9th time underscored
the fast progress taking place in the country. It also cherished the resolve of a prosperous future India. A
dream of AatmaNirbhar Bharat in which there is the participation of the people, there should be harmony,
there should be a message of peace and brotherhood and there is a strong will to dominate the world stage.
With an aim to realize the resolve of a new India the nation has started the Amrit Yatra for the next 25 years
from the 75th year of its independence.
The message of self-reliance during Amrit Yatra from the ramparts of the Red Fort has become our cover
story this time. Despite the world's economy being affected, how various global agencies are highlighting
that India's economy is in a strong position, has also been featured prominently in this issue. Stories on
flagship schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana and PM Kisan Maandhan are also part
of this edition.
The heroic saga of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Ramaswamy Parameswaran has been featured in
the personality section of the issue. Teacher's Day is celebrated on September 5, the birth anniversary of
the great educationist, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who preferred to call himself a teacher rather than a
politician. In this light, a special article based on the Prime Minister's addresses, explaining the new National
Education Policy, is specially included in this issue. In the episode of Amrit Mahotsav, there are stories
about inspiring freedom fighters and the development journey of 75 years. The story of the emergence of
India as a sports powerhouse will motivate the readers.
India is consistently creating new records in its development journey, and in 2047, when the centennial
celebrations of independence will be celebrated, the Amrit Yatra, which started with 'Sabka Prayas', will
witness the creation of a new India with Amrit resolve.
