BEATING THE RETREAT

GLIMPSES OF NATION'S STRENGTH

AND PROSPERITY

During 'Beating the Retreat' 2023 the three wings of the army, police, and CRPF bands played
29 Indian tunes including Indian classical ragas in the midst of rain. The ceremony began with
the group band playing 'Agniveer' and concluded with 'Saare Jahan Se Accha' in presence of
President Droupadi Murmu. For the first time in the ceremony, a 3-D anamorphic projection
was carried out on the facade of the North and South Block. Vice President Jagdeep
Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, CDS General Anil
Chauhan, and the chiefs of the three services were also present at the ceremony. Prime
