Mann Ki Baat 2.0 (43nd episode, December 25, 2022)
2022: YEAR OF SUCCESS,
COUNTRY GETS NEW MOMENTUM
Observing the past always provides us with ideas for planning the present and the future. In many
ways, 2022 has been very inspiring and wonderful. This year, the country gained momentum,
and every citizen participated in more than one way. Various achievements since 2022 have
earned India a unique place in this world. In the year's final Mann Ki Baat episode on December
25, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned achievements such as India becoming the
world's fifth largest economy, providing more than 220 crore doses for Covid protection, and
surpassing the figer of $400 billion in exports. Some excerpts from "Mann Ki Baat."
TAKING THE ENTHUSIASM OF G-20 TO NEW HEIGHTS: India will also be chairing the G-20
this year. In 2023, we must raise the G-20's enthusiasm to new heights and turn this event into a
mass movement.
WISHING FOR A KALA-AZAR-FREE INDIA: The "Kala-azar" disease is rapidly disappearing as
a result of combined efforts. The outbreak had previously spread to over 50 districts across four
states. However, this disease is now restricted to four districts in Bihar and Jharkhand. Smallpox,
polio, and "guinea worm" have all been eradicated from India.
TB-FREE INDIA BY 2025: With the spirit of Sab ka Prayas, we are also working towards the
eradication of TB in India by 2025. You must have seen, in the recent past, when the T.B. Mukt
Bharat (TB-free India) campaign started, thousands of people came forward to help the T.B.
patients.
YOGA AND AYURVEDA STAND THE TEST: We have seen the power of Yoga and Ayurveda
during the recent global pandemic. Regarding important evidence-based research in this area, I
request that if you have information related to our traditional medical practices, then do share it
on social media.
NAMAMI GANGE CAMPAIGN: Eight years ago, we launched the "Namami Gange Mission" with
the goal of keeping Mother Ganga clean. The "Namami Gange" mission has been named one of
the world's top ten initiatives to restore ecosystem by the United Nations. The biggest source
of energy behind the "Namami Gange" campaign is the continuous participation of the people.
Praharis and Ganga Doots also have a big role in it.
SWACHH BHARAT MISSION: "Swachh Bharat Mission" has been accepted by all Indians today
since its inception in 2014. Many unique efforts have been made in this mass movement, , and
these efforts are being made not only within society but also within the government.
EXTENDING THE SPIRIT OF "EK BHARAT-SHRESHTHA BHARAT': The year 2022 will always
be remembered for one more reason. This is the extension of the spirit of "Ek Bharat-Shreshtha
Bharat." The people of the country also organised many memorable events to celebrate unity and
togetherness.
