new India, where senior citizens
are inspiring the next generation
and the country is on the path to
building a better society. Many
other examples demonstrate that
age is just a number, and that if
elders are given opportunities,
their energy is equal to that of
a youth. To supplement these
efforts, several schemes for the
welfare of senior citizens are being
implemented by various ministries
of the Central Government.
