GOVERNMENT WITH SENIOR
CITIZENS AT EVERY STEP
Greetings!
It is a common saying in our country:
स््वस्स्ति: प्रजाभ््ययः, स््वस्स्ति: प्रजाभ््ययः परिपाल्यतिां न््या्येन
ं
मार्गेण महीीं महीीशायः!
It means that it is the responsibility of the
government to ensure that every person is
well and gets justice. This thinking is also the
basis of the mantra "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,
Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas'. With this
mindset, the Central Government is working
for the progress of every person in society and
to make their lives easier. Whether they are
senior citizens, Divyangjan, tribals, victims,
exploited, or deprived, protecting the interests
of 140 crore Indians and serving them is the
topmost priority of the Central Government led
by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is observed
every year on June 15 all over the world with the
aim of promoting respect and dignity for elders
in society and families. In this context, this time
our cover story is dedicated to the senior citizens
of the country, whose socio-economic security
is being continuously ensured. Along with this,
the nation and society are being made ready
from the point of view of the future. According
to an estimate, there is a continuous rise in the
population of senior citizens in the country as the
availability of health and general facilities has
increased life expectancy. In such a situation,
along with the family, it is the responsibility of
society as well as the government to take care of
the elderly. Realising this sense of responsibility,
the central government is working with full

sensitivity. Maximum effort is being taken to
ensure that those who have spent their whole
lives for the welfare of their family and country
do not face any kind of problem. In the last
few years, the central government has ensured
the safety of the elderly at every step. The efforts
taken by the government are bringing changes
to the lives of the elderly.
