New temple of Democracy

Newly built Parliament House

India is the world's largest democracy.

The Parliament House is the temple
of this democracy, where the people's
aspirations are debated. The country's
future course is determined. The
current Parliament House was built
100 years ago. In response to changing
needs, it has been repaired and

revitalised numerous times over the
last 100 years. However, the seating
capacity of the old structure could not
be increased. It was also impossible to
upgrade it by improving infrastructure
and technology, so the new Parliament
House became a necessity for a new,
aspirational, and AatmaNirbhar Bharat
(self-reliant India) in the 21st century.

Now, May 28, 2023, has become such a
historic date in history that the entry of
AatmaNirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India)
into its own Parliament House from the
Parliament House built during colonial
rule has become a historic moment that
fills every Indian with pride.
