THE POKHRAN TEST IS A GLORIOUS

EXAMPLE OF INDIA'S SCIENTIFIC PROWESS

Nuclear tests were conducted on May 11, 1998, at Pokhran in Rajasthan, on the western end of
India. This event is completing 25 years on 11 May 2023. With the blessings of Lord Buddha,
the test was done on the day of Buddha Purnima. The test was in a way a demonstration of In-
dia's strength in the field of science and technology and military prowess. The way these tests
were done, showed the whole world that the land of India is the land of great scientists. With
strong leadership, India can achieve new milestones and heights every day.

On National Technology Day, we express our gratitude to our brilliant
scientists and their efforts, which made possible the successful
Pokhran test in 1998. We proudly remember the exemplary leadership
of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who displayed
outstanding political courage and statesmanship.
