Nation Launch of PM MITRA Park

PM MITRA PARK INAUGURATED IN UTTAR PRADESH

INDIA WILL NOW BECOME A TEXTILE HUB

Textile plays a significant role in the economy of the country. India is the
largest producer of cotton and jute and the sixth largest producer of technical
textiles. The present government has taken several initiatives to encourage
the textile industry, which has made a major contribution to the country's
development, due to which the textile and apparel exports reached a record
$ 44.4 billion in the year 2021-22. Determined to increase exports by up to
$100 billion by 2030, the central government is setting up PM MITRA Parks
in seven states. Under this initiative, PM MITRA Park was launched in Uttar
Pradesh on April 18 and an agreement was signed.
