Second meeting of the Digital Economy
Working Group
Discussion on digital connectivity, skilling,
and cyber security
The Digital Economy Working Group held its
second meeting in Hyderabad from April 17 to 19.
The three-day meeting furthered discussions on
digital connectivity, skilling, cyber security, and
digital infrastructure development. Global experts
shared their perspectives on technology-driven
inclusive growth as high-speed mobile broadband
and its impact on life, society, and industry reflect
on 'Digital Inclusion: Connecting the Unconnected
and Sustainable, Green Digital Infrastructure:
Challenges and Opportunities'.
Third meeting of the Education
Working Group
Committed to ensuring learner well-being
The third meeting of the Education Working
Group concluded on April 28 in Bhubaneswar
with a commitment to ensure the betterment
of the learner through skilling, upskilling, and
reskilling. The symposium and meeting focused
on the priority area 'Capacity Building for Lifelong
Learning in the Context of the Future of Work'. More
than 60 delegates from 27 countries, including
G-20 member states, invitees, and international
organisations, participated in the meeting. During
the meeting, the delegates also acknowledged the
importance and ever-in creasing need to upskill and
reskill to keep pace with the fast-changing world.
In the inaugural address, Union Minister of
State for Education Subhash Sarkar called for
investing in education and skill development to
equip people with the knowledge, abilities, skills,

Y20 Pre-Summit concludes
on April 28 in Leh
The pre-summit of Youth 20 was held at Leh
at an altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level
from April 26 to April 28, and 103 delegates
attended. Five themes of the Y20 summit
have been agreed upon between the
participating countries and international
organisations in the pre-summit. There
have been important suggestions
regarding future challenges, including
reskilling and upskilling.
The G20 has achieved many
new achievements under the
chairmanship of India. Discussions
and deliberations are going on
successfully. At the same time,
India's rich art, culture, and heritage
have left an indelible mark on the
delegates from across the globe.

meeting, discussions were held on the document
to be prepared for the preparation of the meeting
of education ministers to be held in June. The
delegation also visited Konark Sun Temple.
