India on the Moon Cover Story

                INDIA'S PARTICIPATION IN THE GLOBAL
                   SPACE ECONOMY WILL INCREASE

A study conducted in the year 2019 has revealed that
the global space economy is worth $360 billion in which
India's share is only two per cent. This is the reason why
the present central government has taken several steps
to increase India's share in the global space market
through the reforms undertaken in 2020, with the aim of
promoting the space sector in the country with greater
participation of Non-Government Entities (NGEs). India
has the potential to increase this share to 9% by 2030.
India aims to have a global share of
$50 billion in the space sector by 2025.
