Nation PM Modi's Foreign Visit
AGREEMENT ON CLIMATE CHANGE
PM Modi and UAE President Mohamed bin
Zayed Al Nahyan agreed on the urgent need
to address the global challenge of climate
change under the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change and the
fundamental principles and obligations under
the Paris Agreement. It was agreed to work
together to achieve concrete and meaningful
results from the 28th session of the UNFCCC
Conference of the Parties. The two leaders
stressed the need for international cooperation
in supporting vulnerable communities to
respond effectively to the most adverse
impacts of climate change in accordance with
the provisions of the Paris Agreement.
REGIONAL AND GLOBAL ISSUES
DISCUSSED
Regional and global issues were discussed in detail
by PM Modi and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed
bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United
Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The two
leaders held wide-ranging discussions on various
dimensions of the bilateral partnership, including
trade and investment, fintech, energy, renewable
energy, climate action, higher education and
people-to-people ties. Many agreements were also
signed during this period. The Reserve Bank of India
and the UAE Central Bank signed an agreement to
promote the use of local currencies for cross-border
transactions. Agreement between the Reserve
Bank of India and the UAE Central Bank for bilateral
cooperation on interlinking payment and messaging
systems. MoU between Abu Dhabi's Department of
Education and Knowledge and IIT Delhi.

India and France together are helping to give a
new direction to the world. �ery few people would
know that India��rance has been working together
on an archaeological mission for a very long time
and it extends from Chandigarh to Ladakh. Another
sector strengthening the India-France partnership
is digital infrastructure, which is a major pillar
of Industry �.�. Today �� percent of the world's
real time digital transactions take place in India.
Addressing the Indian community, PM Modi said
that next time you come to India, come without
a single penny in your pocket. Empty pocket, just
download �PI app on mobile phone.
�ven after visiting the whole of India, there will not
be a need for a single paisa in cash. �uring PM Modi's
visit, an agreement was also reached regarding the
use of India's �PI in �rance. In the coming days, it will
be started from the �iffel Tower. Now the Indian tourist
will also be able to pay in rupees digitally at the �iffel
Tower through the mobile app. In the meeting between
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of
�rance �lisabeth �orne, discussions were held on
enhancing cooperation in various fields including
economy and trade, energy, environment, education,
transport, railways, digital public infrastructure,
museology and people-to-people contact.
Prime Minister Modi also addressed a group of
C��s of India and �rance jointly with the President
of France in Paris.
