T he G-20 Summit, which has come to represent the strength and

fresh perspective that India brings to the globe while it holds the
presidency, is not only singular and unparalleled but also a shining
example of India's exceptional diplomatic achievements.
The G-20, which was traditionally thought to be merely the world's
economic forum or limited to global business, has taken on a bigger
form under India's chairmanship, breaking with convention. With its
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam worldview, India has given this dominant
group of the globe a new dimension that was previously limited to
economic problems. Under India's leadership, this organization has
moved beyond economic challenges and has become human-centric,
bathed in the hues of cultural richness and variety. By including the
African Union in this group, India has produced such a history and a
milestone that experts from around the world are saying that life and
color that G-20 has gained under India's leadership will be difficult to
repeat, let alone surpass. Indeed by holding this major gathering and
forging consensus on human-centered issues, India has emerged as
a strong voice for the Global South.
India's G20 Presidency began on December 1, 2022, and the
historic New Delhi Summit on September 9–10, 2023, became the
biggest event of the Amrit Kaal. The world is also amazed by the
potential of the country. The G-20 is a grouping of countries whose
economic strength represents 85 percent of the world's GDP. The
G-20 is a grouping of 19 countries and the European Union, to which
India has added a big chapter. It accounts for about 85 percent of
global GDP, 75 percent of global trade, and about two-thirds of
the world's population. Now, by adding the African Union, India
has given a new dimension to this global institution. The summit
chaired by India has become unique not only for its grandeur but
also for its human-centric policy initiatives. The world witnessed
a demonstration of India's unparalleled strength in every detail,
from security arrangements to the selection of gifts and food,
including receiving the presidents of the world's powerful nations
                                          and their teams.
In fact, the two words "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam"—from Indian
culture—contain a profound philosophical notion. It means "the
entire world is one family." It is such a comprehensive approach that
supports advancement as a universal family. During India's G-20
chairmanship, this theme manifested itself as a demand for human-
                                          centric progress.
In the aftermath of COVID, India placed significant emphasis on
three areas. The first step is to shift away from a GDP-centric approach
to human-centered development. Second, acknowledgement of the
