VANDE BHARAT SLEEPER

THE JOURNEY WILL BE

COMFORTABLE

Indian Railways has launched the country's first
indigenously designed semi-high-speed Vande
Bharat train with modern passenger coaches,
advanced safety features, and passenger
amenities. The number of these trains has reached
136 in just 6 years. It has covered 333 districts in 24
states. So far 4.2 crore passengers have traveled
by Vande Bharat.
Indian Railways is working on a plan to run Vande
Bharat sleeper i.e. sleeper class trains for long
and medium-distance travel. It has reached a
significant milestone, achieving a peak speed of
180 km/h during trial runs. After finalizing the design
of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Class, 10 trains are
under production. Rail Coach Factory, Chennai
has also started production of 50 Vande Bharat
sleeper coaches.
136 Vande Bharat has

covered 333 districts
in 24 states.

FULLY NON-AC
AMRIT BHARAT TRAINS

Indian Railways has recently introduced
the fully non-AC Amrit Bharat train. 4
Amrit Bharat Express Services were
introduced in the year 2024. It has 12
sleeper coaches and 8 general class
coaches. Equipped with state-of-the-
art technology similar to Vande Bharat
trains, this train gives a noise-free
and shock-free travel experience. It
is equipped with modern safety and
passenger amenities like modular
toilets with pressurized flushing systems,
mobile charging sockets, etc. After the Additional Vande Bharat Coach
successful operation of the initial fleet, 200 tenders have been allotted
plans are underway to produce 50 to technology partners for
additional Amrit Bharat trains. manufacturing
