INDIAN RAILWAYS IS BECOMING THE
MAINSTAY OF 'EASE OF TRAVEL'
Greetings,
A new chapter has been added to the country's
development journey with a burgeoning
network of railways across North to South
and East to West. It has been steadfastly
undertaking initiatives to solve decades-old
challenges. In the last 10 years, new India has
developed at a fast speed, and in this journey,
the transformation of railways has caught
everyone's attention. Till a decade ago, the
thought of a modern, semi-high-speed train
like Vande Bharat running on Indian tracks was
unimaginable. However, today a network of
trains like Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat and
rail services like Namo Bharat are becoming a
reality.
The laying of new railway tracks, reaching
close to 100 percent electrification, and
initiatives like cleanliness in trains have brought
a new revolution. Unmanned crossings are
being removed at a fast pace. Railway stations
now have facilities that are comparable to
airports. Today, the poor and the middle class
are also able to access the advantage of easy
and safe travel, i.e., 'Ease of Travel'.
On 15th February, the launch of Swadeshi
Vande Bharat is completing six years, and on
this occasion, the transformation of Indian
Railways has become our cover story. Also an
