The country celebrates National Youth Day on 12 January, the birthday of Swami
Vivekananda, the most influential personality of the 19th century as a spiritual
leader and philosopher. Swami Vivekananda's belief in the aspirations of youth and
a strong resolve in the heart is also the basis of the contribution to the cause of

Mtime the Youth Dialogue was organized
by the Department of Youth Affairs of the
Government of India from 10-12 January 2025 at
Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Prime Minister Modi
interacted with more than 3 thousand energetic
youth leaders selected from across the country and
paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda. He said that if
Swami Vivekananda was among us in person, he
would have filled India with a new confidence after
seeing this awakened power of the youth of the
21st century.
The future of the youth is linked with the economic
progress of the country. Prime Minister Modi said,
'India is moving very fast towards the milestone of
5 trillion dollar economy. Today India's economy
is almost 4 trillion dollars. India's strength has
increased many times more than this. India's
infrastructure budget is more than 6 times i.e.
more than Rs 11 lakh crore compared to the last
ten years i.e. 2014. When India becomes a 5 trillion
dollar economy, the scale of development will be
even bigger. India is expected to
