National Doctor’s Day - 1 July

Honoring Dedication, Skill and
Unwavering Commitment

Doctors are called the second form of God because when someone’s life is
in danger, suffering from an illness or accident, or fearing the loss of a loved
one, doctors become angels and change the course of life. Their dedication
always puts the patient first. On National Doctor’s Day, we express our
gratitude to our doctors for all that they do for us and our loved ones. The day
marks the birth anniversary as well as the death anniversary of the great Dr.
Bidhan Chandra Roy, who was one of the pioneers of the medical profession
in independent India and a physician par excellence…

“Greetings on Doctor’s Day. This is a day to honour the
incredible dedication and compassion of our healthcare
heroes. They can navigate the most challenging
complexities with remarkable skill. Our Government is
fully committed to improving the health infrastructure in
India and ensuring doctors get the widespread respect they
deserve.” -Narendra Modi, Prime Minister
