valuable. But the current Central Government’s
approach has changed that completely. They have
revived India’s traditional medical heritage with
pride and purpose. A historic moment came on Before 2014, healthcare
December 11, 2014, when India created history at was a neglected sector.
the United Nations General Assembly – on this day, Today, whether you are
177 countries together supported the resolution rich or poor, live in a
declaring June 21 as International Yoga Day. This
was not just global recognition of Yoga; it marked remote village or a metro
the moment when India re-embraced its cultural city, you are part of a
and spiritual heritage and proudly dedicated it to system that guarantees
        the whole world.
                                                                 quality healthcare. This
A GLOBAL MISSION OF is the new India under

Health is another pillar of our shared priorities. rapidly transforming into
India’s health insurance scheme – Ayushman Bharat-
covers nearly 60 crore people. But India’s concern for a ‘developed India’ where
health is not limited to Indians alone. India’s mission healthcare is for all.
of “One Earth, One Health” sees health as a shared
global responsibility. India stood with Africa during J.P. Nadda
the Covid pandemic. During that time, vaccines and Union Health Minister
medicines were made available. Under the “Arogya
Maitri” initiative, India also supported Africa through
training, hospital equipment, and medicines. India
is set to supply a Bhabhatron radiotherapy machine
to Namibia for advanced cancer care. This machine,
developed in India, has been in use in 15 countries.
This machine has helped about five lakh serious
        cancer patients in different countries.
Undoubtedly, Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a
health revolution towards the goal of Viksit Bharat.
In fact, studies show that even a one-year increase
in life expectancy due to better healthcare leads to
an increase of up to 4 percent in GDP. When Ayush-
man Bharat Yojana enters its eighth year, its main
objective is to ensure that no Indian is left alone
in a health crisis. It can be easily understood how
important this scheme is for a diverse country with
a large population. Today, the country and its lead-
ership are determined to free the poor and middle
class of the country from the burden of expensive
treatment. Today, the country is moving rapidly in
this direction. Ayushman Bharat has created such
a global model of inclusive and universal health care

where the nation is saying - Ayushman Bhava.n
