On the Tracks to Aatmanirbhar Bharat

The Vande Bharat train has not only made travel
faster and more comfortable, but also safer. At
present, 166 Vande Bharat trains, including two
new Vande Bharat sleeper trains, connect major
cities across the country. This popularity is
evident from the fact that since its launch on 15
February 2019, more than 7.5 crore passengers
have already experienced the benefits of
travelling on this state-of-the-art trains...

Vande Bharat train, says that he now prioritises

train is fatigue-free and extremely comfortable.
Fast, safe, and comfortable travel – that’s the
hallmark of the Vande Bharat Express. Another
passenger on this train, Santosh Gupta, says that the
journey was very comfortable. The comfortable seats,
the speed of the train, and the modern amenities made
the journey wonderful. Today, there are more than
7.5 crore passengers like Sridhar Kumar and Santosh
Gupta who have completed a comfortable journey on
the Vande Bharat train. Manufactured under the Make
in India initiative, each train is equipped with state-of-
the-art facilities. These include automatic plug doors,
revolving seats, and bio-vacuum toilets. They also have

I have noticed lately that foreigners are making videos
of India’s metros and trains to tell the world about the
revolution taking place in Indian Railways. This Vande
Bharat train is ‘Made in India’; the sweat of us Indians
has gone into making it. This first Vande Bharat Sleeper
train of the country connects the land of Maa Kali with
the land of Maa Kamakhya. In the coming times, this
modern train will be expanded across the entire country.
