n The length of National Highways in the North Eastern Region
stood at 10,905 km in 2014; by April 1, 2025, this figure had
reached 16,207 km. Currently, 177 road projects spanning 3,634
km—with a combined cost exceeding ₹87,000 crore—are at
various stages of implementation.
n Under the NESIDS scheme, 72 projects have been completed,
resulting in the construction of 997.55 km of roads. Work is
currently underway on 911 projects.
