Even after seven decades of India’s
Independence, every household does not have
the basic necessity of piped water supply.

People have to walk miles for this very basic
necessity. But since 2014, the Government has
accorded top priority to assure basic services
to the people living in the rural areas of the
country to improve their living standards

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on
