NEW DAWN SWACHH BHARAT MISSION
TOWARDS A CLEAN INDIA
n the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, 2014, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Mission. Since then following the
Ofootsteps of Gandhiji India is heading towards becoming a clean nation by adopting
and practicing all hygienic norms. More and more people extended their support to this
initiative and it became a mass movement. India was able to provide more than targeted
households and public toilets. All panchayats became open defecation free. In total, toilets
were provided for more than 60 Crore people. There has been a drastic change in the
attitude of the people as well. Now, not just authorities but people too are participating in
keeping the locality clean
HEADING FORWARD MEETING EXPECTATIONS
