OMICRON: GOVERNMENT ON ALERT

RECEIVING A VACCINE OF HOPE
The government is not only well prepared,
but also on the watch for potential
threats in the wake of a surge in Omicron
cases around the world. As a result, as
the government ramps up its door-to-
door vaccination campaign with a focus
on immunisation, a push to vaccinate
adolescents aged 15 to 18 years
old began on January 3 as well.
Not only that, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi is also keeping a
close eye on the situation and chairing
high-level meetings to assess the
condition of Covid-19, Omicron, and the
preparedness of health systems across the
country and among the people, recognising
the gravity of the situation. He is urging
people to be careful and watchful rather
than panic...
