                  BOOSTING DEVELOPMENT WITH



        EMPHASIS ON AUGMENTING AMENITIES







        The state of Uttar Pradesh has been
        a catalyst of socio-economic-cultural
        transformation in the country. From its
        pivotal role in the freedom movement
        to guiding India's economic transition,
        it has been scripting the country's
        successful journey. Prime Minister
        Narendra Modi says, " When the whole of
        UP grows together, only then the country
        progresses."  With these words, Prime
        Minister Modi laid the foundation stone
        of Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur
        and also started many projects related
        to farmers, urban development, health,
        education, road construction, and tourism
        in Varanasi.  Prime Minister inaugurated
        the Metro project in Kanpur, while at the
        convocation of IIT, he called upon the youth
        to participate in efforts to make a
        self-reliant India.


              he   high-speed    connectivity   gives
              impetus to fast transportation on which
        Tdepends the progress of any economy.
        This  helps  not  only  in  reducing  prices  of
        commodities but also  encourage  trade,
        commerce,  and  exports.  Understanding  the
        need  for  high  connectivity,  the  Government
        has  worked very fast  on developing  world-
        class  infrastructure  in  the  last  seven  years.
        In  this  development  journey, Uttar  Pradesh
        has  emerged as  the  nerve center  for the
        fast  progress  of  infrastructure. Prime
        Minister inaugurated the Purvanchal Express
        on  November  15,  and  after  a  month,  on
        December 18, laid the foundation stone of the
        594-km-long Ganga Expressway. Referring to
        the need for high-speed connectivity for the
