        Understanding the difference

        between knowledge and skill

Dada Dharmadhikari ji has written in a book. A young man
approached him for a job through a mutual acquaintance. He
wanted Dharmadhikari ji to recommend something, and then he'd
find work. Dada Dharmadhikari ji inquired about his qualifications,
and he stated that he was a graduate. "What do you know?" he
inquired once more. "I am a graduate," he said again. He had no
idea what Dada Dharmadhikari was asking. I'm asking
you again, brother. "I am a graduate," he said again. "Do
you know how to type?" Dharmadhikari ji then inquired.
Do you have any cooking skills? "Do you have any
experience making furniture?" "Can you prepare tea
and snacks?" To all of these inquiries, the young
man replied, "No, not me." I recently graduated. That
is, education frequently fills a treasure trove of
knowledge that does not coalesce with practical
life. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, quoting
Swami Vivekananda, explains that there is
a distinction between knowledge and skill,
         which Swami Vivekananda had understood
at the same time. They explain that in today's
world, what is more valuable: a certificate
in hand or skill? The government has
attempted to implement the same concept
         as "skill development."

is a step-by-step campaign to match this truth.
Today, there is a global demand for skills, and Along with earning, one should
those who possess those skills will advance. always keep learning. Only skilled
This holds true for both individuals and
nations. This is the foundation of India's skills people can progress in today's
strategy, which aims to position the country world. This applies to both people
as a global leader in the field of skills. Keeping
this in mind, the government has launched a and countries. This should be at
new initiative to map skilled people based on the core of the skilling strategy of
global need. Not only that, but if India has been
able to fight the COVID epidemic so effectively, our youth so that India can provide
it is also due to the country's preparation and a skilled and skilled labour force
availability of a skilled workforce in recent
years. After 34 years, the Government has to the world. Stakeholders should
taken a decisive step toward transforming continuously "skill," "re-skill,"
India into a global knowledge-skills hub by fully
integrating practical knowledge-skills into the and "upskill."
