Wishing you all a very Happy New Year
The year 2022 is not just a customary change in the calendar like every year. This
is a very special occasion for a Nation which is celebrating its 75th Anniversary of
Independence. A series of events associated with the commemoration of the 75th year of
independence are becoming a powerful symbol of resurgent New India like Father of the
Nation Mahatma Gandhi turned spinning wheel and salt as the symbol of our fight against
imperialism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the 75th year of independence an
occasion to build a roadmap for regaining its past glory of the golden bird by 2047.
The nation has set a new milestone scripting fast progress in a short span of
time. But the nation does not have to be complacent with these achievements but
has to travel miles to ensure extensive development not only in a few pockets of
the country but in every part of the country during Amrit Yatra. Whether it is about
turning the AatmaNirbhar campaign into a mass movement or taking the benefits
of progress to the people on the fringes of society the country has achieved way
beyond expectations to lay a strong foundation for future journey. Now in the Amrit
Kaal, India's goal is to achieve inclusive and all-around development for every
section and region with stress on bringing alike development in villages and cities.
The country has achieved fast progress in every sphere. The efforts of the last few
years have proved that the India of the 21st century has the capability to create big
goals and make them come true. In this New Year special edition, the journey of the
Amrit Yatra culminating in 2047 is the cover story that takes an incisive look at India
down the line in the next 25 years.
The story of Paramveer Naib Subedar Bana Singh's valor features in the personality
section, while in the Amrit Mahotsav segment read about the inspiring biographies
of our national heroes. The other highlights of this edition also include stories on
India's economic progress, Kashi Corridor, and Dehradun-Delhi Expressway giving
impetus to development. A new phase of progress in Purvanchal and milestone for
Covid vaccination campaign under which 55 per cent of the eligible population have
received both doses of vaccine are the part of this edition.
