On the initiative of India, the
United Nations declared 2023 as
the 'International Year of Millets'.
When we take a resolution, the
responsibility of taking it to
completion is equally important. It
is a matter of pleasure that today
when the world is celebrating the
'International Year of Millets', India
is leading this campaign. The 'Global
Millets (Shree Anna) Conference' is
an important step in this direction,
which was inaugurated by Prime
Minister Narendra Modi in New
Delhi on March 18. Such events
are not only necessary for global
welfare but also a symbol of India's
responsibilities…

just limited to farming or diet. Those who

know that in our country 'Shree' is a respectable
term. Where there is Shree, there is also prosperity
and totality. Shree Anna is also becoming a medium
of overall development in India. The village and the
poor are also involved in this. At the inauguration of
the Global Millets (Shree Anna) conference, Prime
Minister Narendra Modi said, “We have worked
tirelessly to make Shree Anna a global movement.
In 2018, we declared millet nutritious cereals. In this
direction, work was done at every level from making
farmers aware to creating interest in the market."
