The G-20 presidency
is a new responsibility
for India, and India will
fulfill its responsibility by
living up to the hopes and
expectations of the world.
With its thousands of years
of culture and modernity,
India will work for the
knowledge enhancement
and welfare of the world.

has arrived at this point. India has lived
through thousands of years of prosperity
and glory, as well as some of the world's
darkest periods. We have seen days when we
were subjected to centuries of slavery and
darkness. India has a vibrant history today
despite having faced so many invaders and
atrocities. His greatest strength in India's
development journey today stems from the
same experience. Following independence,
a long journey from zero to the summit
began. This includes all government efforts
in the 75 years since independence. In their
own way, all governments and citizens
attempted to move India forward. With this
feeling, India, which is presiding over the
G-20, is ready to lead the world forward with
a new energy.

has always taught that when we strive
for personal advancement, we also aim
for global advancement. Today, India is
the world's most prosperous and vibrant
democracy, with democratic values and a

INDIA'S G-20 CHAIRMANSHIP:
SIGNIFICANCE & OPPORTUNITIES
One Earth, One Family, One Future. These
are the thoughts and values with which
India will pave the way for the welfare of
the world. India's presidency will not only
be memorable for it only, but the future
will also judge it as a momentous occasion
in the history of the world. In this context,
India's G-20 presidency has a unique
opportunity to contribute to the global
agenda on critical international issues.
On the one hand, India maintains close
relations with developed countries while
understanding and effectively expressing
the views of developing countries.
On this basis, India will prepare a blueprint
for the G-20 presidency with all of its
friends from the "Global South," who have
been development partners for decades.
As the G-20 Chair, India sets the agenda
for the entire year. It will concentrate on
the topics identified. It will present the
documents containing its findings after
holding a global discussion on those
topics.
India is involved in a wide range of
social and economic sectors, including
energy, agriculture, trade, the digital
economy, health, and the environment,
as well as employment, tourism, anti-
corruption, and women's empowerment.
Priorities that affect the most vulnerable
and disadvantaged people will garner
international support.
