Farmers will become self-reliant in

production of Pulses-oilseeds

Given the contribution of farmers to the development of the country, the government has made
special provisions in the budget to increase the income of farmers and solve their problems.
The government has decided to work at a fast pace on how to make farmers self-reliant in fruit
and vegetable production from natural farming, agricultural research, and technology. Now the
government has decided that under the leadership of the farmers of the country, the nation will also
become self-reliant in the field of pulses and oilseeds…...

"A big focus of this budget is the
farmers of the country. After
the world's largest scheme
for foodgrain storage, we are
now going to create Vegetable
Production Clusters. On the
one hand, this will provide new
markets for fruits, vegetables and
other produce to small farmers,
and will get better prices... On the
other hand, the availability of fruits
and vegetables will increase for
our middle class and nutrition for
the family will also be ensured. It
is the need of the hour for India
to become self-reliant in the
agricultural sector. Therefore,
incentives have been announced
for farmers to increase the
production of pulses and oilseeds."
