The vision of a Viksit Bharat can
be realized through developed
states. The aspiration of a
Viksit Bharat should reach the
grassroots level i.e. every district,
block, and village. For this, every
state and district should make
a vision for 2047, so that a Viksit
Bharat can be realized in 2047.

emphasized that we have to work not only at the
program level but also at the individual level to
tackle poverty. He said that eradicating poverty
from the grassroots level will bring change to
our country.

Discussion on the
vision document for the
Viksit Bharat @2047
The vision document for the Viksit Bharat
@2047 was discussed in the Governing Council
meeting. The objective of this meeting is
to promote participatory governance and
cooperation between the Central and State
Governments, to improve the quality of life
of rural and urban populations by smoothly
reaching the government efforts to the common
people. The role of the states in achieving the
goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047 was also discussed
in detail in the meeting.
n India is on its way to becoming the third
largest economy in the world and is expected
to become an economy of 30 trillion US
dollars by 2047.
n In such a situation, a collaborative approach
is needed between the Central and State
Governments to achieve the goal of ' Viksit
Bharat' by 2047.
n The objective of the 9th Governing Council
meeting was to prepare a roadmap for this
goal, in which teamwork can be promoted
between the Center and the States in the form
of 'Team India'.
Encouraged to link farmers to the market
Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged
all the states to increase productivity and
diversification in agriculture and link farmers
to the market. He emphasized adopting natural
farming methods which can improve soil
fertility. Due to low cost, farmers can get better
and quick profit and a global market can also be
available for the products.
Encouragement to launch Demographic
Management Plans
PM Modi encouraged the states to launch
Demographic Management Plans to address the
issues of ageing in the future. He asked the states
to build the capacity of government officials at
all levels and encouraged them to collaborate
with the Capacity Building Commission for this.
