            process for NMMSS started


                he application submission process for the
            TNational Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme
            (NMMSS),  launched  to  provide  scholarships  to
            meritorious  students  from  economically  weaker
            sections,  has  started  on  the  National  Scholarship
            Portal  (NSP).  The  last  date  for  students  to  submit
            the NMM Scholarship Scheme/Renewal Application
            for  2024-25  on  NSP  is  31  August  2024.  The  One-
            Time  Registration  (OTR)  application  launched  on
            the  National  Scholarship  Portal  includes  a  new
            home page, a new mobile app, and an updated web
            version. With this, students can easily register online
            for OTR. The NMMSS scheme has been launched to
            prevent their dropping out of studies in class VIII and
            encourage them to continue their education at the
            secondary  level.  Under  this  scheme,  one  lakh  new
            scholarships  are  provided  to  selected  students  of
            class IX every year. Also, their studies are continued   Smart Cities Mission
