                      turtles—are being implemented.

                                                                      Wildlife, a new initiative was approved to conserve
                                                                      Gharials and address the threats facing their
                                                                      survival. The Gharial has now been included in the
                                                                      ‘Species Recovery Programme’ under the Central
                                                                      Government’s ‘Integrated Development of Wildlife
                                                                      Habitats’ scheme.
