As Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts
of the Red Fort, there was not just a natural sense of satisfaction regarding

India’s developmental journey over the past 12 years, but also a firm resolve
to build a magnificent, modern India. When a nation’s leadership is sensitive
to the people, its development is not confined to mere statistics; instead,
the collective will to elevate the nation to greater heights—coupled with a
sense of fulfillment—inspires a spirit of innovation and renewal among the
citizenry. The new chapter of development India has scripted over the past 12
years, guided by the mantra of ‘Nation First,’ has become the cornerstone for

the goal of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. Against this
backdrop, on this 15th of August, Prime Minister Modi called for a new Sapta
Dhara of development. In doing so, this 13th address became a resounding
clarion call for the nation’s ceaseless journey in the future.
