In her address to the nation on the eve of the 80th Independence Day, President
Droupadi Murmu emphasized the participation of every citizen in nation-building.
While paying tribute to the freedom fighters, she noted that India is moving
forward with the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Acknowledging the
contributions of the youth, women, farmers, scientists, workers, sportspersons,
security forces, and various sections of society, she called upon the countrymen to
uphold the values of the Constitution and fulfill their fundamental duties.
