The Horrors of Partition | NATION
Heartfelt Salutations to All Fellow Citizens: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that we are observing ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance
Day’. We honor the courage of all those affected by the Partition. That moment in history
shattered countless lives—families were uprooted, loved ones were lost, and people
endured unbearable suffering. Yet, overcoming all this, people rebuilt their
lives from scratch, turned adversity into success, and made invaluable
contributions to the nation’s progress. Their journeys remind us of the
power of the human spirit to persevere. It is hoped that this day will
further strengthen our resolve to uphold harmony and brotherhood in
our country. Together, we will work towards building a developed
India. On Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, I offer
heartfelt salutations to all those fellow citizens who emerged
from that horrific period and contributed immensely to the
nation’s progress. Through their courage and resilience, they
demonstrated how one can realize their resolve even in the
face of adverse circumstances. Let us further strengthen
the national spirit of harmony and unity.
