RailOne App launched: One-stop solution for all passenger services
Indian Railways is moving ahead with the aim of providing modern infrastructure, world-class
passenger facilities, connectivity in every corner, and support to industries, along with creating
new jobs. In this segment, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the RailOne
app. Through this app, passengers can book unreserved and platform tickets with a 3 per cent
discount. Along with this, facilities like live train tracking, complaint redressal, e-catering, porter
booking, and last-mile taxi can also be availed. Reservation of tickets on IRCTC will continue.
RailOne has a single sign-on facility, in which login can be done through M-PIN or biometrics.
To enhance passenger safety Railways has decided to install CCTV cameras in all coaches.
Railways set to provide more than
1 lakh jobs in 2 years
The Railway Recruitment Board is set to provide
employment to more than 1 lakh people within 2
years. More than 50 thousand candidates are set
to be recruited during the financial year 2025-26.
