"REVOLUTIONARY" HEROES
WHO CHALLENGED BRITISH RULE
The country did not become free overnight; rather, it took a lot of
sacrifice on the part of the fighters. Among them were those who
advocated "revolution" to overthrow British rule. The freedom fighters
faced enormous financial, physical, mental, and family hardships
during the struggle, but they did not show any signs of pain in order to
achieve their goal. The fighters' goal was to destabilise colonial rule and
energise India's freedom struggle. With patriotism and sacrifice in their
hearts, these revolutionaries faced the harsh policies and repression
of the British government with patience and courage. This episode
of the series "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" tells the story of Nana Patil,
Jatindranath Mukherjee, Amarnath Vidyalankar, and Anant Singh, who
fought for independence in a “revolutionary” mode.
