PM AWAS YOJANA
DREAM OF OWNING A HOUSE BECOMES REALITY
More funds have been allocated in the budget for
2023 to the PM Awas Yojana, which was launched
to provide a pucca house to every citizen of the
country. More people will benefit, and more houses
will be built in rural and urban areas. By increasing the
expenditure in this priority scheme of PM Modi, it will
reach the last mile faster.
A budget of Rs 79,000 crore allocated to PM
Awas Yojana, 66% more than the previous
budget.
Pradhan Mantri PVTG Vikas
Mission will be launched
to improve the socio-
economic conditions of
Particularly Vulnerable
Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
Under this, basic
amenities like safe housing,
clean drinking water and
sanitation, education, health and
nutrition, road and telecom connectivity, and
livelihood opportunities will be provided to
PVTG families.
RECRUITMENT OF TEACHERS AND ASSISTANTS
38,800 teachers and assistants will be
hired over the next three years to staff 740
Eklavya model residential schools for 3.5
lakh tribal students.
PM PVTG MISSION
In the next three years, Rs 15,000 crore will be
spent on the PM PVTG mission.

WATER FOR DROUGHT-PRONE
AREAS
The Upper Bhadra Project will receive Rs
5,300 CRORE
central government funding to
provide permanent micro-irrigation
facilities and fill surface water tanks
with drinking water in Karnataka's
drought-prone central region. The
arrangement of water in drought-
prone areas will benefit both the people
and the agricultural sector.
BHARAT SHARED REPOSITORY OF
INSCRIPTION (BHARATASHRI):
The budget announced the
setting up of Bharat Shared
Repository of Inscription
(Bharatashree), a digital
epigraphic museum. Under this,
one lakh ancient records will be
digitised in the first phase.
In this SHRI stands for Shared
Repository of Inscription.
ASSISTANCE TO
POOR PRISONERS
Financial assistance will be
provided to poor prisoners who are
unable to pay a fine or bail amount.
This budget will lay a solid foundation
for realising the grand vision of a
developed India. The underprivileged
are prioritised in this budget. This
budget will realise the aspirations of
today's aspirational society, including
the poor of the villages, farmers, and
middle-class citizens.
