A NEW PATH

The "Dandi March," which began on March 12, 1930, under the leadership of Mahatma
Gandhi, is regarded as a watershed moment in India's freedom struggle. The Dandi March

for Salt Satyagraha began at the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. During this march,
Bapu broke the British salt law and challenged the power of the regime, about which it was
said the sun never sets. To commemorate the 91st anniversary of the Salt Satyagraha,
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off a symbolic march from the Sabarmati Ashram in
2021. Now, two years of this festival have been completed.
