WORLD WILDLIFE DAY - MARCH 3

                            INDIA COMMITTED TO THE

                             PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE

India of the 21st century is giving a message to the whole world that economy and ecology are not conflicting with
each other. India has shown the world that protecting the environment along with the nation's progress is possible.
Today, forest areas are expanding rapidly in the country. The commitment to protect wildlife is also being fulfilled
through a vast network of protected areas. The Wildlife Protection Amendment Bill-2022 has been passed in
Parliament to implement the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. It
seeks to increase the species protected under the law. The race that started in Kuno with eight rare cheetahs in India
has been accelerated by introduction of 12 cheetahs from South Africa. This figure will gradually rise. World Wildlife
Day is the perfect occasion to reiterate our commitment to wildlife conservation and their survival…

Today, when the world looks towards nature and the
environment, it talks about sustainable development.
For India, nature and the environment, its animals

security but the basis of India’s sensibility and

existence rests on the mantra of 'Sarvam Khalvidam
Brahma'. That is everything from animals, birds,
trees, plants, roots and consciousness in the world
