performance,
record-winning medals
Indian players are now making their mark in world sports. Whether it is the hockey
team which won consecutive Olympic medals or the players winning medals in
shooting or the Indian wrestlers, they are shining in international competitions and
also making national and international records. All this has been possible due to the
strong ecosystem of sports in the country and the support being received by players.
This year Indian contingent comprised of 117 players at Paris Olympics competing
in 16 sport events. While the Indian team won 6 medals, 6 players stood at fourth
position, many records were also made...
