Aman Sehrawat won a bronze medal in 57 kg
freestyle wrestling at the Paris Olympics. Aman's
aunt told the media that his mother died when
Aman was just 11 years old. His father introduced
him to wrestling so that his son does not go into
depression, but he also died 6 months later. Carrying
forward his father's hopes, Aman won an Olympic
medal at the age of 21 and became the youngest-
ever individual Olympic medallist from India. Aman
has achieved a new milestone in his career by
winning a bronze medal.
Born on July 16, 2003 in Jhajjar, Haryana, Aman
was raised by his grandfather Mangeram Sehrawat
after losing his parents. The inspiration of two-time
Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar aroused his passion
for wrestling. Aman honed his skills at the Chhatrasal
Stadium in Delhi and began making a name for
himself in the world of wrestling.
Though Aman has achieved many feats, his
most significant achievement came in 2022
when he became the first Indian wrestler to win
a gold medal at the Under-23 Wrestling World
Championships. This was followed by many
successes including winning gold medals at the
Under-23 Asian Championships and Senior Asian
Championships in 2023. Aman's achievements were
also boosted by the assistance he received from
the central government. The assistance received
under TOPS and the Annual Calendar for Training
and Competition played a key role in covering the
expenses of international training camps, including
sessions in Russia. Aman's success at the Paris 2024
Olympics is not only a personal achievement but
also a significant moment for Indian wrestling. His
story will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of
wrestlers in India.

When a boy troubled by obesity
made javelin throwing his passion,
created many records
javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who won gold medals in
Tokyo Olympics, World Athletics Championship, Asian
Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Championship
as well as Diamond League title, has written his name
in the annals of history by throwing the javelin to a long
distance. After winning the gold medal in Tokyo 2020
Olympics and silver medal in Paris Olympics, Neeraj
Chopra has firmly registered his name in the pages of
history at a very young age. The assistance of about Rs
5.72 crore received for Paris Olympics under TOPS and
Annual Training and Competition Calendar of the Central
Government has also strengthened Neeraj Chopra's
achievements. Let us tell you that Neeraj Chopra loved to
play volleyball and kabaddi in his childhood but when he
was 14 years old, he got interested in javelin throw. Neeraj
was very fat in childhood. His family members were
troubled by his obesity. When his family members sent
him to the gym, he did not like it there. When he agreed
to run after being persuaded by his family, his uncle took
him to Shivaji Stadium, 15 km from the village, so that he
could lose weight. Neeraj saw some players throwing
javelin in the stadium, from here he got inclined towards
making a career in javelin throwing. Since then he never
looked back.

Two consecutive Olympic
medals after 52 years
The Indian hockey team achieved the feat of winning
medals in two consecutive Olympics for the first time after
the 1972 Munich Olympics by winning the bronze medal at
the Paris Olympics. In fact, from 1960 to 1972, India won 4
consecutive medals. Then in 1976, there was no medal.
This team is led by Harmanpreet Singh, who is the
22nd captain of the Indian hockey team. Harmanpreet
Singh was in amazing form in the Paris Olympics. In the
Paris Olympics 2024, the Indian team scored a total of
15 goals in 8 matches, out of which about 67 percent
