For decades, our villages and the poor were
also left behind because there were no good
schools for education in the villages. The
children of backward and tribal society used
to dream, but they had no way to fulfill them.
We increased the education budget to a
large extent, increased resources, opened
Eklavya tribal schools. Our tribal youth have
benefited a lot from this.

from providing financial support to small farmers
through PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, creating
employment and self-employment opportunities
by providing financial assistance to small and
medium industries, many commendable work has
been done in the last 9 years. Through them, the
lives of the village and the poor have changed.
In the last nine years, under the leadership of PM
Modi, work has been done in line with the basic
spirit of social justice. The policies and schemes of
the present Central Government have always been
dedicated to the social and economic upliftment of
the people belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled
Tribes, Backward Classes, women and economically

Panchteerth, Tribal Day, Tribal Museum
Panchteerth means five memorials dedicated to
Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. These include the
birthplace of Mhow, Shiksha bhoomi the place in London
where he resided for studies, Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur,
the Mahaparinirvana site at Delhi and the Chaitya Bhoomi
in Mumbai. Today, from India to England, all the places
associated with Dr. Ambedkar are being developed as
Panchteerth.
n Ambedkar's 125th birth anniversary was celebrated as
Constitution Day from 26 November 2015.
n The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has so far approved the
construction of 10 Tribal Freedom Fighters Museums.
These museums will preserve the memories of tribal
freedom fighters.

associated with the life of the great national hero
Babasaheb Ambedkar ji, who raised his voice for the
interests of the deprived society, as Panchteerth has
been done during this period. These places inspire
equality and harmony in society. If the steps of
the Central Government are compared, then, in the
interest of the Scheduled Caste-Tribe society, more
steps have been taken in the last nine years than ever
before. Year after year, there has been an increase in
the budget for the social, educational, and economic
empowerment of the Scheduled Castes and
Scheduled Tribes. Dalit and tribal communities have
also been given priority in the beneficiary schemes of
the central government.
