The middle class is becoming a beacon of
change in all aspects of life in a rapidly changing
India, whether it is development or systems,
unfathomable courage, or decision-making
ability. The middle class, which accounts for
one-third of the population, is a powerful force
in realising India's dreams of prosperity and
development. The central government has also
left no stone unturned in the last nine years in
order to give their dreams wings. Keeping in mind
the importance of the middle class in India's
resolve to become a developed nation in the
Amrit Kaal, the Central Government is making
continuous efforts to make it a development
partner. The middle class has also been given
special priority in Amrit Kaal's first general
budget, ensuring that a new India emerges in the
spirit of "Sabka Prayas".

has one of the world's fastest-growing
economies. It has the world's fifth-largest
economy, a thriving middle class, and an
unprecedented demographic dividend. If
India is to become the next-generation
economy, one of the prerequisites is that
the income and standard of living of the
middle class be increased further. Before
learning about the Central Government's
unwavering efforts in this regard, it is
necessary to understand the state of this
class prior to 2014.
